In Viva Mexico – A Cultural Journey, students are introduced to the vibrant music, dance and traditions of Mexican culture. The presenter performs using a rich variety of traditional instruments, including the Mexican harp, Mexican and Spanish guitars, violin and trumpet, showcasing the lively sounds that define Mexico’s musical heritage.
Students will learn simple folk dance steps and explore the meaning behind Spanish lyrics from well‑known songs such as La Bamba and other popular classics. The presenter also shares the cultural history of the instruments and explains the significance of the Charro suit traditionally worn by Mariachi musicians.
