Chinese Calligraphy & Brush Ink Painting

Chinese Calligraphy & Brush Ink Painting is an interactive workshop that introduces students to one of China’s oldest and most expressive art forms. Originating as early as the Tang Dynasty (year 618), this program explores how brush strokes, imagery and artistic symbolism have shaped Chinese culture for centuries. Students learn how calligraphy and brush painting communicate emotion, identity and storytelling through line, shape and movement.

Program Highlights:

  • Hands‑on practice with traditional calligraphy brushes and ink
  • Exploration of ancient techniques dating back to the Tang Dynasty
  • Understanding cultural symbolism behind characters and imagery
  • Focus on creativity, self‑expression and artistic confidence
  • Suitable for a wide range of ages and learning abilities

By combining history, technique and creativity, this workshop allows students to appreciate the cultural and artistic significance of Chinese Calligraphy & Brush Ink Painting while developing their own expressive skills.
