Italian Rhythms & Culture
Italian Rhythms & Culture is a vibrant, hands-on music and movement program that brings the excitement of Italian folk traditions to life through live accordion performance, dance and rhythm. Students are immersed in the fast-paced, joyful world of the tarantella, discovering how this energetic dance has been part of Italian culture for centuries.
Students will experience:
- Traditional Italian tarantella music with its fast tempo and lively character
- Live accordion performances that capture the spirit of Italian folk celebrations
- Simple tarantella dance demonstrations, with opportunities for student participation
- Hands-on rhythm activities featuring the Italian tamburello, alongside clapping and classroom percussion
